Conditions Conducive to Domestic Manufacturing

TEHRAN Oct 20 (Shana)--Proper conditions have been created for Iranian manufacturers to boost the quality of their products, managing-director of National Iranian Oil Company said.

Rokneddin Javadi said at the inauguration of an oil, gas, petrochemical and HSE equipment show in the southern city of Shiraz that ground has been prepared for Iranian and foreign industrialists to compete fairly in the oil sector.

Iran Operating 88 Projects Abroad

TEHRAN Oct 21 (Shana)--Iran’s Energy Ministry is currently operating 88 projects in different countries, a senior ministry official said. Bahram Nezamolmolki said the projects, being operated by 30 Iranian companies, are worth 4.357 billion dollars.

He said the projects are under way in Ethiopia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Afghanistan, Algeria, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Sudan, Iraq , Oman and Kenya.

Vietnam Needs Iran Raw Materials

TEHRAN Oct 19 (Shana)--Vietnam is willing to sign agreements with Iran to receive raw materials for its energy sector, a top commercial official said. Doan Duy-khuong, vice-chairman of Vietnam’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries said a memorandum is to be signed with Iran in the near future.

He said that Iran-Vietnam 40-year-old ties require further economic cooperation between the two countries.
